Despite being
a beautiful spot in South Goa district, Western trip of Mormugao Peninsula known
as Vasco. This is the house to Dambolim airport, Mormugao port , and Goa’s
biggest naval base, this slender strip of land,is home to people from across
India. Having a view of the Zuari river
, Its’s a city, that is named after the famous Portuguese sailor “Vasco
–Da-Gama”. One can enjoy an enchanting view of the Zuari river flowing silently
in the arms of Arabian sea. Vasco –Da-Gama port is most famous for the Japanese
garden which is home to the ruins of the Fortaleza Santa Catarina, Bogmolo
beach, Municipal garden, Mormugao port, Pilot point, Shri Durgamata Shrine,
Naval Aviation Museum.
The famous
festival celebrated here is 15 days saptah at Damodar temple. These comfort
ambience add’s flavour to the environment.
So if one
comes to Vasco this is the place where you can feel perfectly at home….
